In her work, she deals with the contextual reevaluation of her identity in the Kurdish diaspora in Germany. She takes up the element of language by exploring the interdependencies between language and voice. Understanding language as a political instrument that is used as means of control and thus illustrates power structures. Theories of decolonial feminism are integral part of her practice. When dealing with the background of social structures, she approaches the meaning of work and femininity as well as the differences between paid employment, domestic work and artistic creation.
